Simple Guide to Reheat Fries in a Toaster Oven

French Fries in a Toaster Oven

Leftover fries from last night’s dinner? Or maybe you just brought take-out home and the fries are a bit cold? In either scenario toaster oven is your friend.

You can easily reheat french fries in your toaster oven. As a matter of fact, a toaster oven is ideal for reheating french fries since it doesn’t take long to preheat and the high heat will ensure you get fries that taste hot and fresh.

Reheating Fries in a Toaster Oven

Preheat the toaster oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The hot temperature will get the fries nice and crisp without overcooking them.

Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking pan. If you have too many fries piled up on top of each other they won’t heat evenly. Reheat in batches if necessary.

Don’t add any oil to the fries. They should have enough on them already from when they were first prepared.

Place the pan of fries in your preheated toaster oven and heat for about 5 minutes. No need to flip them.

Add salt if desired and enjoy your hot, crispy fries!

How Long Does it Take to Reheat Fries in a Toaster Oven?

If your toaster oven is set to 450 or 500 degrees Fahrenheit, it should take around 5 minutes to reheat your fries. If you use a lower temperature of 350 to 400 degrees, it may take 10 minutes. It will take less time to reheat fries that start at room temperature versus fries that were refrigerated.

Can You Reheat McDonald’s French Fries?

You can reheat McDonald’s french fries the same way you would with any other fries. Place them on a baking sheet in a 450 degree toaster oven for about 5 minutes. Since McDonald’s french fries are fairly thin cut, you’ll want to pay extra attention so that they don’t burn.

Don’t Throw Away Your Leftover Fries!

A toaster oven is an ideal way to reheat fries since microwaving fries just makes them soggy. Be sure to use a high temperature when reheating fries and keep an eye on them so they don’t burn!
