Your Guide to Preparing Eggs in a Toaster Oven

Eggs in a Toaster Oven

While it might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a toaster oven, cooking eggs can be done in this appliance! You can make sunny-side-up eggs, scrambled eggs, even “hard-boiled” eggs in your toaster oven.

Cooking Eggs in a Toaster Oven

Making sunny-side-up eggs only takes a few minutes once your toaster oven is preheated!

Preheat Oven

Preheat the toaster oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. This should take about 15-20 minutes depending on the size of your toaster oven.

Prepare Baking Sheet

Lightly grease a baking sheet with butter, margarine, or oil. Alternatively, you can coat with non-stick spray. This will help to ensure that your eggs do not stick to the bottom of the pan when cooking.

Crack the Eggs

Crack the desired amount of eggs into a bowl. You should be able to fit about six eggs on a baking sheet that will fit your toaster oven. Check the bowl to make sure you don’t have any bits of eggshell in it.

Gently pour the eggs onto the prepared baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper if desired.

Cook the Eggs

Carefully place the tray of eggs onto the rack in the middle of the toaster oven. Cook for approximately five to six minutes, watching carefully to ensure they do not burn.

Baking Eggs in a Toaster Oven

It’s easy to bake scrambled eggs in the toaster oven and it just takes a few minutes.

Preheat the Oven

Preheat the toaster oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This should take about 10 to 15 minutes.

Prepare the Pan

Use butter, oil, margarine, or cooking spray to lightly grease a pan that will fit inside your toaster oven.

Prepare the Eggs

Crack your eggs into a bowl. You can fit around six eggs on a toaster oven-sized pan. Add milk, salt, and pepper to the bowl and beat well. Pour the egg mixture onto the greased pan.

Bake the Eggs

Place the pan of eggs into the toaster oven, being careful not to spill. Set your timer for seven minutes. Watch the eggs for the last couple of minutes of cooking time and remove them from the oven once set.

“Hard-Boiled” Eggs in a Toaster Oven

With a toaster oven, you don’t need to deal with boiling water for your eggs. Simply put them in the oven and let it do its magic!

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your toaster oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, which will take about 10 minutes.

Place the Eggs

If you have a six-piece muffin tin that will fit in your toaster oven, it will help prevent the eggs from moving around. Simply place one whole egg in each spot.

Alternatively, you can place the eggs directly on the toaster oven rack.

Bake the Eggs

Cook the eggs for about 30 minutes. Remove from the toaster oven and place in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Once cool, the eggs are ready to be peeled.

No Matter How You Prep Them, Eggs Are Always a Good Choice!

Eggs are a great, high-protein food that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Use your toaster oven for a simple, mess-free way to cook your eggs.
